Charlotte has been fundraising like a trooper! Check out her array of wonderful fundraising events below and be inspired. Well done Charlotte, you have proven it is possible to fundraise a large sum of money! Cracking effort….

When I first heard about the expedition I was very excited an opportunity of a life time had come up! I’ve always wanted to travel the world and busy new places. When I was offered the chance to visit Cambodia and help their local community, I knew I had to do it. I am so grateful I have been given the opportunity to help make a difference.

To raise the first amount of money, myself and friends set up stalls at local summer fete. We sold various items from cakes to toys to a basketball shoot out, which proved to be very popular! The idea of selling items at school fetes was something we knew we wanted to do straight away.

I have also done two sponsored events. The first was a 6000m swim (as it’s 6000 miles to Cambodia) between myself and friends. This was very successful as we finished in under the expected time! The second sponsored event was a walk from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. This was a total of 23 miles and took 10 hours. On the walk we carried buckets and asked for donations from the public. We managed to raise £130 on the walk alone. These two events combined have been my most successful way of raising the money as I was sponsored over £800. I really enjoyed participating in both these events.

I completed a curry night, which was a massive success! We did a golden pot and auctioned our time to people for waitressing, dog walking, babysitting, Christmas wrapping and any other services people required.

Through December we also made and sold items at Christmas markets, such as hot chocolate reindeer cones, reindeer food, reindeer poop (chocolate raisins), bath salts and sweet cones.

So far I have fund raised around £3000 out of the £4000 and hope to raise the last £1000 in the next few months.

Awesome effort Charlotte!
