Gap Year Projects in Africa and Asia
At Camps International we run award winning gap year programmes to Africa & Asia. We run all our own camps, so we know that the projects you work on will help the local community directly.
All our trips include community project work and wildlife viewing; with add on options for trekking, diving, kite surfing and more...
So what are you waiting for? Check out our trips below!
All our Gap Year Programmes include:
Community Project Work
The keys to good project work are sustainability and commitment. You can expect to spend your days on a wide range of initiatives, including;
- Refurbishment of classrooms
- Development of water supply
- Organising sports
- Teaching
Wildlife - Conservation Projects & Safari's

- Mount Kenya
- Kilimanjaro
- Mt Meru
- Mt Kinabalu
How will I make a difference?
We have been shortlisted 4 years running for the World Responsible Travel Awards, winning a highly commended award in 2008 for 'best volunteering organisation'. You can expect to spend your stay working on a wide range of initiatives where you really will make a difference. You achieve this by working on a diverse range of local humanitarian, social and environmental projects that we have developed in partnership with the local communities under expert guidance. This gives you the opportunity to make a real difference through your financial and physical contributions. We also hope that you will come away as educated ambassadors for the critical issues facing conservation and community development.
