Borneo Summer Programme 1 Month
Experience rural life in two stunning locations in Borneo, whilst volunteering on life-changing projects in one of the most beautiful and biodiverse regions of the world. Our brand new Borneo Summer Programme is perfect for those of you looking for a summer trip with a difference and a chance to make a real impact.
For your first two weeks you’ll be based at Camp Pituru, moments away from white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy this tropical paradise, whilst helping to support our project work tackling some of the underlying problems in the village – cleaning up the beaches and working on coastal conservation.
You’ll then travel from the coast to the lush jungles of Narawang where you’ll spend the second half of your trip, giving you the chance to experience the diverse landscapes of this amazing island. Living in the heart of the small indeginous community in Narawang, you’ll really feel like a local as you help to improve the school facilities here.
The impact you will make

The small village in Narawang is much in need of improved educational facilities for the local children. Projects here include working to help improve the existing school buildings and landscape the areas around it, as well as helping to construct a brand new Sunday school as requested by the Christian community. You could also get involved in teaching at the school, helping with English and Maths tuition for the pupils.
