Camp Peru Moray 2 Weeks
Experience the Peruvian way of life in the stunning Andes mountains in your 2 week stay in Moray. Many people live below the poverty line in the rural highlands, so you’ll work on improving primary school and community facilities. Build greenhouses, plant seeds and saplings, and carry out workshops on healthy eating for the local children. The vibrant bustling cities of Cusco and Arequipa are yours to explore. A visit to the markets to pick up some Peruvian handicrafts is a must, as is sampling some traditional Pisco Sours. You will make a measurable impact on the communities you meet in Peru, their warmth and cultural heritage will stay with you long after you return home.
The impact you will make
School Feeding Project (Moray)
The community of Kajilarakay is extremely poor with no basic sanitation or sewerage and a lack of adequate drinking water. There is also a shortage of crops leading to malnutrition. You’ll help us by working on the school kitchen and greenhouse to provide a hygienic place to prepare meals and boosting the nutrition of each meal.
- Laying foundations
- Mixing cement
