Conservation Zoology 4 Week

An incredible opportunity for students studying Conservation or Zoology, or for anyone wishing to gain practical experience within this area.

Based from our incredible Camp Tsavo, you will spend two weeks working alongside Wildlife Works, the world’s leading REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) project development and management company.

Wildlife Works believe that all species have an intrinsic right to exist on Earth, without having to prove their value. Their groundbreaking REDD+ initiative protects over 500,000 acres of highly threatened Kenyan forest, securing the entire wildlife migration corridor between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. They also bring the benefits of direct carbon financing to more than 100,000 people in the surrounding communities.

Your internship will allow you to shadow the Wildlife Works team, getting stuck into projects and learning more about their innovative conservation strategies.

This incredible opportunity will take you to an area in Kenya which boasts fantastic diversity of over 50 species of large mammals, more than 20 species of bats and over 300 species of birds and important populations of IUCN Red List species such as; Grevy’s Zebra, Cheetah, Lion, African Wild Dog as well as over 2000 African elephants.

In addition to your internship with Wildlife Works, you have two weeks to make your own contribution to our ongoing community projects, designed to improve lives within rural communities.
