For those who are new to yoga and those who are more experienced yogis, join us on an unforgettable yoga and mindfulness journey in one of the most spectacular places on Earth.

You’ll spend time in the Kenyan bush at the stunning Lion’s Bluff Lodge, where you can live among nature and experience Africa’s incredible wildlife as well as an adventure packed safari. Then it’s down to the coast where you’ll stay in a beautiful hotel on one of the world’s best tropical beaches.

This retreat not only gives you the opportunity to focus on yourself, balancing your mind, body and soul, but also gives those who wish a chance to give back to local Kenyan communities through valuable project activities and a beneficial yoga session with the community.

This exclusive and unique retreat is run by Adventures by Camps, our specialist brand focused on meaningful adventures. Expert yoga teaching and guidance is provided by Sarah Irwin, founder of Ringwood Yoga.

Itinerary

Day 01

Welcome to Kenya

Arrive in Mombasa airport where you’ll be met by one of our Camps staff. We’ll transfer you to Lion’s Bluff Lodge in Tsavo where you’ll have some time to relax and settle into your new surroundings before a restorative evening meditation to end the day.

Day 02

Safari Day

Enjoy an incredible safari adventure in Tsavo East – one of the world’s most famous national parks and home to maneless lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and a host of endemic bird life.
Return to Lions Bluff Lodge in the evening for an evening mindfulness meditation session.

Day 03

Yoga & Women's Group Visit

Feel energised by a morning yoga session before heading off to visit a women’s group in the local community. This inspiring group of women will teach you more about Kenyan culture and the ways they are working together to empower women in the community and to improve sustainable livelihoods.
In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy another yoga session alongside the women’s group followed by a peaceful meditation.

Day 04

Diani Beach

Leave Tsavo in the morning to head to the coast. We’ll welcome you to your new accommodation at the Swahili Beach hotel based on the stunning Diani beach.

Spend some time relaxing before an evening session of yoga.

Day 05

Sunrise Beach Yoga

What better way to begin a day that a sunrise beach yoga session on the white sands of Diani beach.

Enjoy some free time for rest and relaxation before our afternoon yoga class, followed by dinner out with your fellow travellers.

Day 06

Community Visit & Yoga Workshop

After our morning yoga session, we’ll head to the village of Muhaka where you can spend the day working on our ongoing projects to support the local community. In the afternoon, you’ll get involved in a yoga workshop with the local community.

Day 07

Relaxation Day

Enjoy a morning yoga class then spend your final day in Kenya relaxing and reflecting on the experiences of the last week. You’ll have the day free to chill out, go shopping, or enjoy some treatments at the spa. We’ll round off the day with an evening yoga class.

Day 08

Departure Day

Say your final farewells to Kenya as we transfer you back to the airport in time for your flight home.
