Projects

How are projects chosen?

We work closely with governments, scientific bodies, NGOs, local communities and businesses to ensure that our projects fulfil the needs of the people and wildlife, and all programmes are closely supervised by our in-house team of experts. All of our projects have been established in partnership with the surrounding communities and are designed to meet the specific needs of the area at the time. Projects are constantly reviewed to address their needs and identify changing priorities.

Many factors influence the projects we support but priority is given to those instances where our help is needed most, and where we feel we can make a substantial and profound contribution. However, the more funds we can raise, the more projects we can support!

Donations

Can I choose which projects to support?

At present, we do not have the facilities to allow donations to go to specific projects except in the case of Tsavo Wildlife conservation. However, you can donate to either terrestrial wildlife conservation (Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary and Tsavo Wildlife Conservation), Marine conservation (Mwamba Conservation Project and East Africa Whale Shark Trust), or community development (Makongeni and Mukurumuji community projects).

Alternatively you can send a non-specific contribution that will be divided among all of the projects or used in priority areas chosen by the Camps International Trust.

Will I be able to see where my money goes?

We fully believe in and promote absolute transparency in everything we do and we actively want people to get involved. Quarterly updates on all of our projects will be available online. We also publish an annual report showing you exactly how your money has been spent.

How can I contribute ?

At present, you will be able to make a donation to the Camps International Trust.
