The sun is shining, the weekend is upon us and we‰’ve definitely all got that Friday feeling here in the office! In a mere matter of months some of you will be out in country getting stuck into your expedition, how exciting is that?!?!

Make sure that you all log into your gateway and make sure that all of your details are correct and updated, especially your passport details so that we can actually get you on your flight!

Back onto fundraising! This star spoke to me a little while ago now about her fundraising journey, but it is her time to shine now.

Well done Isabella, tell us about your fundraising journey‰!

At my school we always have school trips available, especially for the sixth form and I was dying to go on one to Africa! So when I found this one to Tanzania, I was very happy! It was even better finding out that I would I be able to help out in the community there and during the same trip gain my padi 1, in an amazing part of the world. I’m so excited to go as it‰’s a fantastic way to finish my school years, and a great start to my gap year!

Most of the money I have raised has come from my job, as I budget a certain amount of money from my pay cheque every month to go towards my trip but any fundraising I do is of course even better!

I’ve had two big fundraising successes so far!

The first was bag packing at our local Tesco store over Saturday and Sunday. Everyone was very generous, and I managed to raise over £200! (Check out my homemade collection box!)

Then I organised a quiz along with 2 friends who are fundraising also!

My brother wrote the quiz, and we held it our local rugby club.

Lots of companies kindly donated prizes, including a local driving instructor donated 2 free lessons! We also had refreshments and snacks throughout the night. It was a huge success, and we raised almost å£400!

I‰’m hopefully going to do a car boot sale soon, along with more bag packing. And everyone is expecting me to hold another quiz soon due to the previous success!

Love her attitude that fundraising activities are the best course of action, however that actually putting money from a job towards the expedition is a way of fundraising too!

Congratulations Bella, your head torch is on it‰’s way to you!

As ever, PLEASE send me over your fundraising story, it makes me smile when I get to read your stories! What I look for when picking a Fundraising Friday Star is what you felt when you first heard about the expedition, a few paragraphs about what you have been up to so far for your fundraising, any future fundraising plans and some pictures of your fundraising! LOTS of pictures! (pleeeeeease) But the pictures do need to be of a high quality that can be uploaded online‰! no fuzzy mugshots! 😉

Please email all entries to sophie.cohen@campsinternational.co.uk, I can‰’t wait to hear from you all! 😀 Remember, every Fundraising Friday Star will win a FREE HEAD TORCH!

If you win, you will automatically be put into a draw to win an even bigger prize… every quarter we will choose one Fundraising Friday Star to win A FREE RUCKSACK, SLEEPING BAG LINER, TRAVEL TOWEL AND WATER BOTTLE!!! Which means less kit you’ll have to buy.
