I want to do a skydive more than anything! It looks so fun! Slightly jealous of Natasha but what a great way to fundraise‰! This week‰’s entry is to remind everyone to play to your strengths and to demonstrate that fundraising does not have to be boring!!

Hi, my name is Natasha Jordan and I can‰’t wait to go to Borneo with Camps International next summer.  From the first moment I was told about the trip I wanted to go. I would like to be a Primary School teacher and helping young children in Borneo will be an amazing experience.  The trek through the jungle and visiting the orangutan conservation site will be unforgettable and the opportunity to meet new people from all parts of Britain, and the local community in Borneo, will be exciting.

The prospect of fundraising almost £4000 was daunting, however, my friends, family and community have supported me so far, by donating about £600.

I have also hosted many events such as a Race Night, which was a huge success, and raised almost £700.  I have undertaken 2 cake sales at school which have raised about £200.  A car boot sale raised me £150, a friend undertook a body waxing and another friend swam Loch Lomond as part of the Great Scottish Swim.

When I had my 16th birthday 2 weeks ago I fulfilled an ambition of mine which was to undertake a skydive.  I did this on 25th October 2015 and used this as a fundraising event, raising almost £1000.  This was an amazing experience!

I have lots of other future events organised including a bag pack, a quiz night, many more cake sales and competitions such as guess the amount of sweets in the jar and a raffle.

I am thoroughly enjoying the fundraising experience and can‰’t wait to achieve my target and get on the plane to Borneo!

Ok guys, you should know the drill by now. Keep sending those stories in as not only are you in with the chance of winning a head torch but it also really does brighten our day.

Please include a few sentences about how you heard about the expedition, a few paragraphs detailing what you have done so far in order to raise the funds as well as anything that you have up your sleeve for the future. We also would like‰ pictures, pictures and more pictures! Make sure these are of high quality so we can include these on our website and also so everyone can see with their own eyes how well you are doing!

Please email all entries to fundraising@campsinternational.com, we can‰’t wait to hear from you all! 😀 Remember, every Fundraising Friday Star will win a FREE HEAD TORCH!

If you win, you will automatically be put into a draw to win an even bigger prize… every quarter we will choose one Fundraising Friday Star to win A FREE RUCKSACK, SLEEPING BAG LINER, TRAVEL TOWEL AND WATER BOTTLE!!! Which means less kit you’ll have to buy.
