In November we are launching a brand new programme for hospital staff to help transform the lives of patients and deliver much needed support to Msambweni Hospital in Kenya. Following on from the success of our healthcare outreach programme which has delivered medical care to over 2,000 people in Kenya, we have been asked to look at vitally needed support to the hospital team, and you can help to make all the difference.

No matter what role you currently do, your skills, experience and advice will be invaluable as you get stuck into supporting the hospital staff.

Staying in the foothills of the Shimba Hills National Reserve, you will meet some of the most amazing people, struggling to simply survive. The hospital is understaffed, under resourced and in high demand. Your 2-week programme will help to transform lives, theirs and yours.

You will help to provide hands on care and share insight, ideas and strategies which can be used whilst you’re there and long after you go. Inspiring the staff and helping them to deliver the best service possible in extremely challenging circumstances.

As well as supporting the hospital team, there is also a chance for you to relax in these stunning surroundings as you spend a day at the beautiful Diani Beach on the Indian Ocean and safari through one of the country’s amazing National Parks for an unforgettable wildlife experience. You’ll also spend time with the Muhaka community, learning more about the local culture, cooking traditional foods and buying souvenirs from the community.

This amazing experience costs just £725, which can be paid by you, or we can help you to fundraise – you’ll just need to get cracking.

Included within the trip is food and water, accommodation, all in-country transfers, orientation and language lessons, safari day, support pre-travel and in country from our dedicated teams, all projects costs and materials and 24-hour emergency support.

In addition, you’ll need flights, travel insurance, visa and vaccinations.

The trip team departs on 26th November 2016 and there is still chance for you to be part of this life-changing programme in Africa. For more information, please click here or call our team on 01425 485390.
