This team are now abroad and stuck into their expedition, but they held a group fundraising event before they left, and are already looking towards their next expedition.

On Friday 18 May, Hampton High ran a football tournament fundraiser for Camp Cambodia 2018. The event included 12 teams of students from years 9-12. The catch with this tournament was that all teams had to have a minimum of one staff member either playing for, or managing, the team. An auction took place for the staff members and in the end we auctioned 17 members of staff!Unknown

There is no doubt about how incredible the tournament atmosphere was, which saw huge engagement from the whole school. With the entire event, we are pleased to announce we fundraised just under 500 pounds and cannot wait to put this money to great use. The aim of this fundraiser was to help raise funds to purchase educational and sporting gifts to pass over to schools in the communities in Cambodia.

Thank you to all students and staff who took part in the event  and for all members of the Hampton High community who came along to support and watch. The event was a massive success and we look forward to making this an annual occurrence!Unknown-1

Twelve teams battled it out to find the champions demonstrating a broad range of experience, ability and choice of costumes including: A rubix cube, fat suit, pajamas and swimwear! We are already looking forward to next year’s event and fundraising for Costa Rica and Nicaragua 2020.
