Our Peru expedition offers huge variety and opportunities for adventure in the areas that you’ll visit. You’ll experience desert, deep canyons, the vast expanses of the Altiplano and life at 3800m above sea level at Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. You will spend time and support some of the most ancient civilizations on earth, The Quechua and the Aymara people. Witnessing the local traditions of these people is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. You will trek the Salkantay trail to reach the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the world’s most famous landmarks, a hugely rewarding challenge! The communities in each camp you visit will be very diverse but the aim of the project work remains the same – to improve their standard of living. Projects could be improving school facilities, building greenhouses (malnutrition is prevalent), improving sanitation facilities and tourism development. In addition to the community projects, you will also get involved in our environmental reforestation projects that address habitat destruction in Peru.
