With Peace Day, 21 September nearly upon us, we wanted to let you know about this year’s Peace One Day Celebration. Every year they have a big concert to raise awareness and funds for Peace Day and this year anyone can be a part of it, no matter if you’re in Paris or Ringwood (like us). For the first time ever the Peace One Day concert will be streamed as a high quality webcast. The webcast, from Le Zenith Paris, will take place on Peace Day Tuesday 21 September. Hosted by POD ambassadors Jude Law and Sharon Stone, with performances from Patti Smith, Youssou Ndour, Charlie Winston, -M-, Yodelice, Ayo and Vanessa Paradis. As part of the show, there will also be short films and updates on humanitarian, education and sport activities taking place on Peace Day. All proceeds from the webcast and the concert go to Peace One Day to raise awareness of Peace Day and inspire individual action on the day. You can get your webcast tickets (in advance or on the day of the webcast) by clicking here. If you’re lucky enough to be in Paris (I wish) there are still tickets for the concert itself on Friday 17 September at Le Zenith. You can grab your tickets here. If you‰Ûªre stuck at home (like me), you might be interested in the new documentary, Peace One Day Part 3, on BBC World over the weekend of 18/19 September, which has been produced by the POD founder Jeremy Gilley and Jude Law.åÊ To watch that you don’t have to click anywhere, bonus. If you‰Ûªve got an idea and would like to get involved in Peace Day 21 September, you can make a commitment at www.peaceoneday.org and hit ‘Take Action’. Let us know your idea‰Ûªs and what you plan to do.åÊ As always we would absolutely love to hear them…
